In simple terms, a driver is an electronic controller for a motor-driven device. In practical applications, drivers can be divided into two types: pulse drivers and bus drivers.

 

Pulse Drivers: Pulse drivers use a series of pulse signals from the controller to control the speed and direction of the motor. They are characterized by simple signal transmission, high speed, high stability, and low cost. Pulse drivers are mainly used in drive systems for stepper motors, DC servo motors, and other applications where high precision is not required.

 

Bus Drivers: Bus drivers are a type of driver technology that controls motor rotation via a bus. They use a computer or PLC controller to convert pulse signals into bus signals, which then control the motor's rotation. Bus drivers have advantages in long-distance transmission, networked control, and high efficiency, but they are relatively more expensive.
