Our company currently possesses world-class gear processing equipment, including more than 100 units in total such as Japan's NACHI precision broaching machines, Mitsubishi precision gear shaving machines, Hamai precision gear hobbing machines, Okuma CNC lathes, Taiwan's Feeler and Takisawa series CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, grinding machines, as well as a range of domestic auxiliary equipment.

It is also equipped with globally advanced testing equipment like Japan's Osaka Precision Gear Measuring Center and Zeiss three-coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and has established a rigorous quality assurance system, where all products undergo strict inspection before delivery.

This glossary clarifies key technical terms for ALF Series Helical Planetary Gearbox , supporting accurate interpretation of product specifications and performance metrics.

1. Ratio (Reduction Ratio)

Definition: Input speed / Output speed.

2. Rated Input Speed (n₁ [rpm])

Definition: The drive speed of the reducer (matches the motor speed when paired with a motor). Measured under 20°C ambient temperature; reduce n₁ when the ambient temperature is higher.

3. Output Speed (n₂ [rpm])

Definition: Calculated using the formula: \(n_2 = n_1 / i\) (where \(n_1\) = input speed, i = transmission ratio).

4. Number of Stages

Definition: The quantity of planetary gear sets in the reducer. Multiple sets are used for large transmission ratios (larger ratio = more stages, increased reducer length, and reduced efficiency).

5. Efficiency (Transmission Efficiency)

Definition: The reducer's transmission efficiency under rated load conditions. Efficiency decreases as the transmission ratio increases and the number of stages grows.

6. Backlash

Definition: The maximum angular deviation between the reducer's output shaft and input shaft. Measured by fixing the input shaft, then applying 2% torque to the output shaft (to overcome internal friction).

7. Hysteresis Cycle

Definition: A closed curve used to calculate the reducer's return clearance and torsional stiffness. Detected by fixing the input end, loading/unloading maximum torque in both output rotation directions, and recording torque angle differences.

8. Inertia (Rotational Inertia)

Definition: A value (referring to the reducer's input end) that describes an object's tendency to maintain its rotational state (stationary or rotating).

9. Inertia Ratio

Definition: The ratio of load inertia to transmission system inertia (motor + reducer). Determines system controllability (recommended to keep ≤5); the gearbox reduces load inertia by \(1/i^2\).
